944 turbo Blow Through MAF system
The SFR 944 turbo Blow through MAF system is finally here! We incorporated the MAF sensor right into the intercooler pipe that leads to the throttlebody.By doing this there are alot of advantages. The first advantage is you are metering air right before it enters the throttlebody.
The idle quality, drivability and response of a blow-through MAF is excellent and can even suprass a factory car. Since the MAF is now right before the throttlebody,it allowed us to run a blow-off valve and vent it to atmosphere.Since we removed all restrictions on the intake side of the turbo we decided to offer a 3.5" to 2.75"(or 3") pipe with a K&N air filter leading into the turbo intake. The result was achieving the maximum performance possible!
This system allows the use of the many aftermarket blow-off valves that vents directly to atmosphere. Another benefit is the chances of injesting unmetered air and possibly detonating, like you can with a conventional draw through MAF set-up is eliminated. The best part about this particular system is that it can be set-up to "upgrade" the MAF system you already have!
944 turbo Draw Through MAF system
Our system also features optimal MAF sensor placement. Sensor placement is vital when converting to a mass-flow sensor. Many kits on the market place the sensor very close to the inlet of the turbo.Unfortunately, turbulence created when the compressor wheel spins up can wreak havoc on the mass-flow sensor. Combine this with big blow-off valves that recirculate a lot of charge air (and add to this turbulence) and you can see why sensor placement is important. With the SFR mass-flow kit there is no need to worry about this.
This sensor is as far away from the turbo as possible. Because the sensor is as far away from the turbo as can be, the accuracy of the mass-flow sensor is far superior to some of the other kits on the market. What this means to you is excellent idle, drivability and power.
Our mass-flow kits utilize the P1SC air/fuel ratio calibrator.This is a laptop programmable unit which allows for fine adjustments of your air/fuel ratio.You can also upgrade to the FTC.Fuel Timing Calibrator which gives you the ability to control timing retard.All SFR MAF systems utilizes a 75 MM hot-wire mass-air sensor. These systems come with temperature, barometric and altitude compensation as part of the package. You also have the option of stainless-steel or aluminum piping which is TIG welded. Along with all this you also receive all the necessary hoses, clamps, connectors and wiring harness as well as complete instructions.

Along with all this you also receive all the necessary hoses, clamps, connectors and wiring harness as well as complete instructions.
